Sách nói giúp người khiếm thị tiếp cận tri thức một cách dễ dàng và thuận tiện hơn.

Người khiếm thị gặp rất nhiều trở ngại, khó khăn trong quá trình bồi dưỡng tri thức và văn hóa, đặc biệt là khi tiếp cận với các nguồn thông tin từ tài liệu, sách báo truyền thống. Tuy hệ thống chữ nổi dành cho người khiếm thị đã khá phổ biến trong cộng đồng nhưng chi phí in ấn tài liệu bằng chữ nổi rất tốn kém, cũng như để chuyển hóa tất cả các nguồn tri thức sang dạng chữ nổi là một điều khó có thể thực hiện được. Điều này không chỉ gây ra sự cô lập về thông tin mà còn đặt ra rào cản tới quyền học hỏi và phát triển của họ.

Người khiếm thị gặp rất nhiều trở ngại, khó khăn trong quá trình bồi dưỡng tri thức và văn hóa

Sách là ngồn nuôi dưỡng trí tuệ, tâm hồn và sách mang đến ánh sáng tri thức của nhân loại. Sách nói đa ngôn ngữ sẽ giúp người khiếm thị tiếp cận thông tin, sách báo, giúp họ bồi dưỡng tri thức và hoàn thiện nhân cách của bản thân. Khi tiếp cận được với tri thức, người khiếm thị có thể xóa bỏ mặc cảm, tự ti, gia tăng cơ hội việc làm và dễ dàng hòa nhập với cộng đồng xung quanh.

Nhận thức được thực trạng trên, MSD United Way Vietnam phối hợp cùng với các đối tác để thực hiện dự án sản xuất và cung cấp ứng dụng và sản phẩm sách nói đa ngôn ngữ gồm Anh, Hàn, Việt được phát triển bằng công nghệ AI cho cộng đồng. Sách nói sẽ được đọc bởi giọng nói tổng hợp từ 45 tình nguyện viên trên khắp cả nước để có sự đa dạng về giọng nói, giúp người khiếm thị tiếp cận kiến thức một cách dễ dàng và thuận tiện hơn. Điều này giúp họ mở rộng tầm hiểu biết, phát triển kỹ năng và cung cấp cho họ cơ hội tham gia vào cuộc sống xã hội và văn hóa một cách hoàn hảo.

MSD United Way Vietnam phối hợp cùng với các đối tác để thực hiện dự án sản xuất và cung cấp ứng dụng và sản phẩm sách nói đa ngôn ngữ cho cộng đồng người khiếm thị

MSD United Way Vietnam kêu gọi những nhà hảo tâm cùng quyên góp 2.000.000 Heo Vàng trên Siêu ứng dụng MoMo để chung tay thực hiện dự án ý nghĩa này. Số heo Vàng sẽ được các nhà tài trợ quy đổi tương đương với 600.000.000 đồng. Số ngân sách này sẽ được sử dụng vào việc thu thập dữ liệu thoại từ 45 công dân Việt Nam từ các vùng miền khác nhau để sản xuất sách nói tiếng Việt, hỗ trợ phòng thu âm miễn phí cho cộng đồng, cung cấp ứng dụng và sản phẩm sách nói cho các thư viện hòa nhập dành cho người khiếm thị tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh và Hà Nội, các chi phí hành chính, truyền thông, nhân sự, gây quỹ và quản lý dự án khác.
