PURPOSE:
Environmental health and the quality of life of the people are the driving forces and goals that inspire us to further our efforts in the journey of nurturing expansive green forests across the S-shaped land.

“Every tree planted is a step forward in improving our living environment, making the Mekong Delta greener and more sustainable.”
The Mekong Delta is one of the most climate-vulnerable regions in Viet Nam. Located at the lower reaches of the Mekong River, the area is frequently affected by adverse climate impacts such as rising tides, flooding, and riverbank erosion. Rising sea levels have led to widespread inundation, affecting agricultural production, residents’ livelihoods, and local infrastructure. These challenges not only pose threats to the region's economy but also have profound impacts on the environment and social well-being of local communities.
As part of the journey to promote positive values around forest protection and biodiversity conservation, Mr. Le Anh Ngoc, representative of MSD United Way Viet Nam, shared: "Planting 10,000 square meters of protective forest will not only help the local community in Tra Vinh adapt to climate change, but also create a future ‘green fortress’ — a thriving forest that supports farmers in stabilizing their livelihoods, while contributing to MSD United Way Viet Nam’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection.”
