A NEW PAGE OF LIFE
INTRODUCTION: A New Page Of Life' project is an initiative aimed at promoting birth registration rights and other fundamental rights for children and youth in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City.
PURPOSE: Continuing to support nearly 1,000 children—including orphans, children with disabilities (such as cerebral palsy and autism), and those in difficult circumstances—as well as youth who are orphaned or facing hardships, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and nutrition.

PROJECT'S PURPOSE
STAGE 1: 2014 - 2020

Promoting the right to birth registration for children in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City.

Raising awareness and building capacity for social organizations and communities on children's right to birth registration.

Supporting birth registration processes and advocating for the development of a child-friendly legal framework.
STAGE 2: 2021 - NOW

Providing emergency support packages, including food, essential supplies, and hygiene products, to families severely affected by COVID-19; Educating communities on COVID-19 prevention; Offering emergency assistance to children in difficult circumstances who have lost their parents or primary caregivers due to the pandemic.

Supporting birth registration for children and disadvantaged youth.

Supporting orphans, children with disabilities (such as cerebral palsy and autism), and those in difficult circumstances, as well as orphaned and disadvantaged youth, by providing access to education, healthcare, and nutrition.
PROJECT'S RESULTS
STAGE 1: 2014 - 2020

Enhancing awareness of the importance of birth registration and its process for 891 individuals, providing legal consultation for 258 cases, legal support for 158 cases, and assisting 88 disadvantaged children in obtaining birth certificates to access education and healthcare services.

Launching the 'A New Page Of Life' group – a network of social organizations working to support children's right to birth registration.

Developing and publishing the case support process.

Documenting best practices and publishing a case study book.
STAGE 2: 2021 - NOW

2021: Provided emergency support packages, including food, essential supplies, and hygiene products, to 1,390 households with over 4,000 individuals severely affected by COVID-19, along with educational communication activities on COVID-19 prevention.

2022: Received 89 cases in need of birth registration support and successfully assisted 57 of them. Additionally, the project provided financial assistance and gifts to over 150 children with cerebral palsy.

From 2023 to now: Received 50 cases in need of support and successfully assisted 14 of them.
