INTRODUCTION: The Happy School Project is an effort to mobilize resources and bring creative educational programs, support infrastructure, and provide scholarships to improve access to education for schools and students in difficult circumstances across Vietnam.

Since 2022, MSD United Way Vietnam has been promoting the Happy School model at schools in disadvantaged areas of Vietnam through:

Providing infrastructure support and quality educational equipment to ensure a high standard of education for students.

Providing scholarships to support access to education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Encouraging innovative initiatives and creative educational reforms.

HAPPY SCHOOL IN PHU THO PROVINCEOn February 18, 2025, at Tuan Dao Primary & Secondary School and Quy Hoa Primary & Secondary School in Lac Son District, Hoa Binh Province (which is now under Phu Tho Province), MSD United Way Vietnam and United Way Worldwide, together with two honorary sponsors, Mr. Hanjun Park and Mr. Taejun Park -members of the Honor Society—organized a gift-giving and facility handover event. HAPPY SCHOOL IN QUANG TRI PROVINCEOn May 14, 2025, at A Vao Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School and A Bung Primary & Secondary School, MSD United Way Vietnam, the Community Chest of Korea, and United Way Worldwide - with generous support from philanthropist Mr. Jeung Park - held a joyful handover and inauguration ceremony at both schools, celebrating the improved learning environment with nearly 1,000 students and community members.
