A MEANINGFUL TRIP: VISITING AND PRESENTING GIFTS AT TUAN DAO PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOL AND QUY HOA PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOL

The concept of a "Happy School" can be something lofty, but it can also be very simple for children in remote areas and ethnic minority communities facing difficult circumstances. This is what we have witnessed during our field trips and surveys to build happy schools and promote equitable education across Vietnam.
As part of the "Happy School" project, the Community Chest of Korea (CCK), MSD United Way Vietnam, and United Way Worldwide visited Tuan Đao Primary & Secondary School and Quy Hoa Primary & Secondary School on November 7th. During the visit, two honorary sponsors from CCK, Mr. Taejun Park and Mr. Hanjun Park, personally delivered a total of 1,677 carefully selected textbooks and storybooks, along with 28 cartons of milk, to the students at both schools.
The sponsors took commemorative photos with the teachers and students of Tuan Đao Primary & Secondary School.

In addition, after a period of assessment and preparation, the delegation visited and directly updated the progress of construction projects at each school. Specifically, at Tuan Dao Primary & Secondary School, the project includes a new three-classroom building. At Dong Phan satellite campus of Quy Hoa Primary & Secondary School, the projects include a concrete schoolyard and a new sanitation facility. All projects are expected to be completed between 2024 and early 2025.
Despite the hot weather, the enthusiasm of the delegation, along with the excitement and joy of the students and teachers in receiving these small but meaningful gifts filled with love and connection, created an atmosphere of happiness like never before. We were deeply moved and delighted by the warm smiles, heartfelt handshakes from the locals, and the bright, cheerful laughter of the students. This is the driving force that motivates MSD United Way Vietnam and its partners to continue implementing community projects, ensuring that no one is left behind.
