GIFT-GIVING AND FACILITY HANDOVER EVENT AT TUAN DAO PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOL AND QUY HOA PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOL, LAC SON DISTRICT, HOA BINH PROVINCE.

 

On February 18, 2025, at Tuan Dao Primary & Secondary School and Quy Hoa Primary & Secondary School in Lac Son District, Hoa Binh Province, MSD United Way Vietnam and United Way Worldwide, together with two honorary sponsors, Mr. Hanjun Park and Mr. Taejun Park -members of the Honor Society—organized a gift-giving and facility handover event. This initiative, part of the Happy School Project, aimed to improve learning conditions for students at these underprivileged schools.

In the 2024-2025 school year, with the desire to create a more spacious and safer learning environment, the project has provided:
 
1. At Tuan Dao Primary & Secondary School: A new building with three classrooms was constructed, along with the installation of a fan and electrical system to provide students with a more spacious and well-equipped learning environment.
2. At Quy Hoa Primary & Secondary School: A new restroom system was built, and the schoolyard at Chi Dong Phan campus was upgraded and renovated, providing students with a cleaner and safer environment.

Sponsors Mr. Hanjun Park and Mr. Taejun Park, along with the teachers of Tuan Dao Primary & Secondary School, took a photo at the newly constructed three-classroom building. 

At the ceremony, MSD United Way Vietnam, United Way Worldwide, and honorary sponsors Hanjun Park and Taejun Park—members of the Honor Society of CCK—donated gifts, including 26 cartons of fresh milk, 240 notebooks, 30 balls, and various nutritious gifts, directly to the students of both schools. The initiative aimed to support their learning, playtime, and overall well-being.

The two sponsors personally handed meaningful gifts to the students.

Additionally, teachers, students, MSD United Way Vietnam, United Way Worldwide, and honorary sponsors Hanjun Park and Taejun Park came together to create joyful moments, perform cultural activities, and share their aspirations for building happy schools.

The radiant smiles of the children are our greatest inspiration and motivation to continue striving on our journey to bring the "Happy School" project to students, especially in remote and underprivileged areas across the country.

Mr. Le Quang Hoa – the school principal, emotionally shared: "The school sincerely thanks the leadership team and specialists of the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD Vietnam), as well as our generous sponsors—Mr. David Hanjun Park, Mr. Taejun Park, and Ms. Hooyung Young, representing United Way Worldwide. We are committed to utilizing the new facility effectively to support teaching and learning activities. Additionally, we will further promote the values of solidarity and compassion—'the healthy leaf covers the torn one'—instilling in our students the spirit of mutual support, not only within Vietnam but also among different communities around the world."

Mr. Le Anh Xuan shared: "Thanks to the support and sponsorship of the leadership and staff of the Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD Vietnam), as well as our generous sponsors—Mr. David Hanjun Park, Mr. Taejun Park, and Ms. Hooyung Young, representing United Way Worldwide—our school now has a spacious and clean restroom facility, significantly improving the students' living conditions. Additionally, the newly renovated playground provides a valuable recreational space where students can relax, stay active, and develop holistically while at school. Beyond that, the gifts, including fresh milk, notebooks, fans, and more, serve as a great source of encouragement, motivating our students to continue their studies and strive for a better future."

Through this project, MSD United Way Vietnam and its partners hope that these facilities will contribute to improving education quality and provide students with the motivation to learn and grow for a brighter future
