On the evening of March 8, 2025, MSD United Way Vietnam, in collaboration with YEAC – the Youth Workers Support Center of Ho Chi Minh City, held the launch ceremony of the "New Life Tutoring Classes" Class in Tan Phu. Twenty gift sets containing school supplies were presented to the students of the class.
Representatives of MSD UWV and YEAC presented gifts to the children at the class
It's not just about the school supply gift sets; from now on, the students' class will see many positive changes:
1. Fifteen volunteer tutors at the Tan Phu class will provide regular academic support to the students, ensuring they receive one-on-one or one-on-two tutoring to reinforce or enhance their classroom knowledge.
2. Each student will receive an evening snack before class, providing nutrition and ensuring they stay healthy and energized for their studies.
3. 2 sets of textbooks for primary (grades 1 to 5) and Secondary (grades 6 to 9) levels, covering core subjects such as Math, Literature, English, Ethics, and Science, have been added to the class library.
Mr. K., tutor manager at the Tan Phu class site: "Most of the kids here sell lottery tickets, but they love going to school. Many want to join, but we don’t have enough tutors and supplies for them. Now, with MSD’s support, we have more tutors, learning materials, and even snacks for each class. Every child is happy."
The children were excited about their new books and nutritious meals.

MSD United Way Vietnam hopes that these gifts and support will bring joy and motivation for the underprivileged children in the project. Seeing the students at the Tan Phu class carefully writing each letter in neat purple ink on their white notebooks filled us with deep emotions, thinking about their dreams and eagerness to learn. We wish this small class continued resilience and success on its journey ahead.
Join us in following and supporting the journey of MSD United Way Vietnam as we continue to provide educational supplies, nutritious meals, and health insurance to social centers and charity schools across Ho Chi Minh City under the "A New Life Page" project.
