MSD United Way Vietnam coordinated with Văn Tố Secondary School on April 28 to inaugurate and hand over renovated facilities under the “Joining Hands to Overcome Typhoon Yagi – For a Resilient Vietnam” project. The celebration was joyful, drawing students, teachers, and parent representatives to celebrate the revitalized restrooms and freshly retiled floors across 12 classrooms. Participants enjoyed musical performances and meaningful moments, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the support this initiative has brought.
In a special gesture marking the 50th anniversary of national reunification, MSD UWV was honored to participate in a collective cultural performance. Students and teachers proudly wore red-and-yellow flag-themed shirts, reflecting their strong patriotic spirit. These performances served as a heartfelt tribute to this pivotal moment in our nation’s history and provided a meaningful opportunity for the entire school community to share in a collective sense of national pride.
Ms. Nguyễn Phương Linh - our representative for MSD UWV - shared in her speech: “We began our partnership with Van To Secondary School by helping to restore the damage and address the challenges brought by Typhoon Yagi. Today’s inauguration and handover are set against the joyful backdrop of the ‘Nation United in Triumph’ celebration—a truly meaningful journey. I hope this inspires students to understand that, despite adversity, they can persevere toward success and victory.”
MSD UWV believes that this project’s support does more than enhance school infrastructure—it symbolizes a strong, shared commitment from organizations and the community to help students recover from floods and rebuild a safe, conducive learning environment. It’s not just about clean restrooms or renovated classrooms—it’s a heartfelt gift, empowering children on their journey toward knowledge. Every smile and eager glance that day renewed our confidence in post-storm recovery and reinforced our dedication to nurturing the dreams of these young minds.
