On the morning of March 9, 2025, MSD United Way Vietnam, in collaboration with YEAC – the Youth Workers Support Center of Ho Chi Minh City, held the launch ceremony of the "Writing the Future" Class in District 2. 18 gift sets containing school supplies were presented to the children there.
18 gift sets containing school supplies were presented to the children there. Beyond the school supply packages, the class at this boarding house will now see many positive changes:
– 15 volunteer tutors at the District 2 class will provide continuous academic support to the children, ensuring they receive one-on-one or one-on-two tutoring to master fundamental knowledge and develop essential soft skills.
– Each student will receive a breakfast before every class, providing nutrition and ensuring they stay healthy and energized for their studies.
– 2 sets of textbooks for primary (grades 1 to 5) and Secondary (grades 6 to 9) levels, covering core subjects such as Math, Literature, English, Ethics, and Science, have been added to the class library.
Student B.N at the class site in District 2: "I love learning to draw and also enjoy literature. My teachers praise my drawings, and I love going to class every Sunday morning. Today, I received extra notebooks and pencils from the sponsors."
MSD United Way Vietnam hopes that these gifts and support will bring joy and motivation to the underprivileged children living in the boarding house in District 2. With each visit to provide support, we witness small yet meaningful changes taking place in this class. Some children excitedly show our project staff their drawings, beaming with joy as they receive compliments. One child who once refused to sit at the desk now listens to the tutors and quietly practices dictation. We wish the children of this class a bright and promising future as they continue writing their own stories.
Join us in following and supporting the journey of MSD United Way Vietnam as we continue to provide educational supplies, nutritious meals, and health insurance to social centers and charity schools across Ho Chi Minh City under the "A New Life Page" project.
